Who We Are

Learn + Build Collaborative helps mission-driven organizations understand the people they serve, strengthen the systems they work within, and build the capacity to create lasting change.

We partner with nonprofits, government agencies, health systems, and community organizations to turn information into action. Our work spans strategic planning, capacity building, evaluation, implementation support, resource development, and organizational learning—helping organizations strengthen programs, improve decision-making, and demonstrate their impact.

We believe the best solutions are built together. Rather than arriving with predetermined answers, we work alongside clients to understand their goals, ask better questions, and co-create practical strategies that fit their communities, resources, and realities.

Learn + Build Collaborative was founded by Joanna Prout, Ph.D., a mixed-methods researcher, evaluator, and capacity-building partner with more than 15 years of experience supporting organizations across behavioral health, public health, education, workforce development, and community systems. Joanna has worked with federal agencies, state and local governments, universities, healthcare organizations, and nonprofits to design evaluations, facilitate planning processes, strengthen data systems, develop practical tools and resources, and build the internal capacity needed to sustain improvement over time.

We measure success by what happens after a project ends. Whether we're developing a strategic roadmap, creating resources that support implementation, facilitating learning across partners, or helping teams use data more effectively, our goal is to leave organizations stronger, more confident, and better equipped to continue the work long into the future.
